Mayor Daley forms group to study O'Hare-downtown express train, Chicago Business, Aug 18, 2010

(AP) — Mayor Richard Daley is forming a committee to study having an express train between O'Hare International Airport and downtown Chicago.

In a news release Wednesday, Daley says the O'Hare Express Blue Ribbon Committee will evaluate whether new train service is feasible and then make a plan to develop it.

The committee has 16 members from the transportation sector, business community, construction industry and organized labor. Lester Crown of Henry Crown and Co. will head the group.

It will look at financing the project, potential routes and other factors to make an express train possible.

The mayor's office says there's no deadline yet for completing the study.
